for the artist to create the work during a stay of about two weeks at Ryukyu Villa Bilo.
While being influenced by the climate and culture of Amami Oshima, it took more than 20 years
allowing the color and texture of the silver leaf to change over time.

 

in this stay and production in Amami, I applied the silver leaf in its original state to the sliding doors,
have entrusted that color change to the warm and humid climate of Amami. Facing the sea,
changes in color brought about by the natural environment surrounded by sea breezes, palm trees, and sago palms
and should bring about changes that can only be prompted right here and now. Such
